Private Buses - Sydney (NSW)

Westbus' New MAN Midibus

There are many private operators of buses in New South Wales and a very large one is Westbus which serves the west, north west and south west areas of Sydney. This page is dedicated to Westbus' new MAN Midibuses. They are bigger than a Nipper minibus but smaller than a large full size bus.

2 new MAN's (Men?) outside Penrith Plaza on 29 December 2000. On the left is m/o 7998 with a Westbus destination board and on the right is m/o 7873 with a Panthers Club destination. Both buses are driverless due to mealbreaks.

A new MAN at Penrith station on 28 December 2000  with a Glenmore Park destination board. m/o 1046. This shot gives a good closeup of the new (to Penrith anyway) destination board.
A new MAN (m/o 1046) at Penrith station on 28 December 2000 is in front of a full sized Volvo m/o 7597.
New MAN m/o 8200 leaves Penrith Plaza bound for Penrith station, 17 March 2001.
Westbus Man midibus (m/o 8202) on Parker Street at Penrith on 18 April 2001. The indicator shows "Penrith 782" despite heading away from Penrith and not on route 782 - so presumably it is on an empty run in order to return to Penrith. Note here that the indicator is very clear and visible which is not always the case, especially with destinations with 2 lines on the screen.
m/o 7998 waits opposite Penrith Cemetery before operating a Penrith via Cambridge Park service on a dead (pun intended) Sunday morning. 1 July 2001.
m/o 8200 arrives at Penrith Plaza after operating a service from Werrington Country, 31 July 2001.
